Download "Blase Gallery" on your PC, smartphone or tablet android & iOS and discover a new way to admire artworks

An innovative virtual exhibition

The idea came from the first lockdown, Blase wanted to find an alternative to closed art galleries and museums. He therefore created an innovative virtual exhibition, in collaboration with Hervé Castaing, 3D scenographer. In a universe inspired, among others, by David Lynch's "Twin Peaks", enter an empty store in the middle of a dark and strange desert. Let yourself be carried away in this mystical universe, and go to meet these mysterious paintings. The audio guide is included: click on the paintings to learn more about them.

Art meets video game

More than a simple virtual visit, the "Blase Weirdo Emporium" is a video game; halfway between an immersive exhibition and a paper chase. To progress in the visit and discover new artworks, you will have to search for clues, which will allow you to pass through the doors and discover a preview of the last controversial work of the artist: "The Rise and Fall of the Empire".

Competition: a reproduction to win

To bring a little excitement to the game, a competition will be organized as soon as the application is released. Until October 15, players will be able to try to answer a question, the answer to which is in the game. A draw will be made among the correct answers. The winner will be able to choose the reproduction of his choice from those, worth a value of 580€.

Be seeing you

Group exhibition at the Mannheimer Kunstverein in Mannheim (Germany)

AU Mannheimer Kunstverein

26 January - 15 March 2020

This exhibition is one of a special kind - there are things to laugh about, some to cry about, some to despair about, and some to shake your head at. Trivialities are found in good company with remarkable, with problems, arrivals and supposed departures, so like in real life. Art and life intertwine in many ways in this show. Some of the artists involved were found on the World Wide Web, joined by found objects from reality, also from the Internet. At first glance, some things seem disorganized, and this is by all means the concept. In the overall view, this results in nothing more and nothing less than a temporary, personal picture of the world with all the loud and quiet, the unexpected and special sounds. Let's see where this will lead.

Be seeing you!

URBANART BIENNALE® 2019

5th edition at the Völklinger Hütte - UNESCO World Heritage Site

AT Völklinger Hütte

14 April - 3 November 2019

No art form is as diverse as urban art: it is the art of the 21st century itself! Urban art includes not only abstract works of art with roots in graffiti, but also the "Freedom Walls" of the Egyptian revolution and the "Change" campaign designed by Shepard Fairy for Barack Obama. Since the turn of the millennium, urban art has been shaping a new global artistic direction that is becoming part of the collective dimension of the urban fabric while increasingly attracting the art market. As an art movement with a growing history, importance and potential, urban art is being spread worldwide, regardless of national borders or cultural differences.

Every two years the UrbanArt Biennale® at the Völklinger Hütte World Cultural Heritage Site presents the latest developments and trends in this international movement. It is the largest project of its kind in the world. Since 2011, more than 400,000 visitors have come to the biennials, while almost 300 of the most popular street artists such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey and Futura have already exhibited their creations on the site of the Völklingen Ironworks. The 5th UrbanArt Biennale ® 2019 Unlimited presents 100 artists | 120 works | 20 countries | 4 continents on a 100,000 m2 tour of the current street art scene.

“HÉRI[T]AGES” exhibition

AR[T]SENAL - Centre d’art contemporain - Dreux

AR[T]SENAL CENTRE D’ART CONTEMPORAIN - DREUX

May - September 2018

Blase+Contemporary+art+Museum+Dreux.jpg

Héritages will bring together at the ar[T]senal, a group of works by established and emerging contemporary artists, in a dialogue with pieces from the classical art collection of the Musée d'art et d'histoire de Dreux. This exhibition was conceived as an introduction to the language of contemporary art through a classical visual vocabulary. It will bring together works by contemporary artists who are highly regarded in the art world. Sculptures, paintings, art objects, frescoes and installations will be linked to the classical or decorative art canons, either for their support or for their context of creation. The curatorial choice of this exhibition does not aim to classify the "good artists" in relation to the "bad artists" of the 19th century, but rather to take us on a journey through the framework of "true art" dictated by urban legend. This project will give us the opportunity to see a resolutely contemporary exhibition, laborious and loaded with sensitive and intelligible content on our society, a subject as present in the mentalities of the artists of our century as those of their peers. It is a way for ar[T]senal to change the way people think about contemporary art and to integrate the contemporary scene into the very heart of the logical development of art history.
