Born in the 1980’s, Blase grew up at a time when art was taking over the walls of the city. Walls became canvases of revendication and political beliefs, a way for artists to express and get their point across a wider audience. Though urban art has nowadays passed through gallery doors, its presence outside is still relevant and important. Blase reappropriates this ephemeral and political support to express himself with humor and sarcasm, while diverting popular references.
