French Artist Gives Flea Market Paintings A Fun Makeover

Art-Sheep article

Young painter Blase is giving old paintings the makeover they so desperately need. Sad, lonely figures and dark backgrounds are being turned into joyful scenery. As it’s written on his website, “Blase has built a knowledge out of the old masters’ techniques. He finds his inspiration in Parisian flea markets, crafts new ideas out of obsolete and destroyed artworks and gives them a second chance by restoring and modernizing them. Blase is amused by the fact that, a long time from now, Art specialists will develop funny theories on the weird iconography used in these paintings.”
